Straight Edge Jig

I built a Straight edge jig today for the table saw, it's about 5 foot long, and 8 inches wide. I used a scrap of 1/2" plywood for the jig.  I made the hold downs out of shelving anchors with non slip furniture feet bolted on with lock nuts.

Mitre Slot Sliders

Today I cut some mitre slot sliders out of an old cutting board. I only needed a few but since i had the setup already i cut out a whole bunch, I have 9 sliders now. These will serve very useful for jigs.

Table Saw Insert

Today i crafted a table saw insert plate for my used table saw rebuild, the insert plate is one of those rectangle types. The old one was cracked and badly bending under any load. The new one whle not perfect is an upgrade.

Shop Setup

For the new year, I have a new shop layout. There are 4 mobile tool carts to the left of the Radial Arm Saw. The lumber has all been sorted and stacked close to the back wall. I have much work to do in 2017 to make this workspace even more effective.

Dog holes started

the dog holes have been drilled about halfway, or enough that the forstner bit can sink under the surface, allowing the drilling jig to lay flat.
